Sometimes it really deoesn't seem like He gave us a very good future considering what our past and present has been like. That's because there are so many factors coming against us that don't want us to reach the destiny and kingdom purpose we were created for. We need to remember, we have an enemy, the advasary, the devil who comes to steal, kill and destroy. He doesn't want us to be what God has created us to be, so he will do everyhthing he can to undermine that and to make us think that we are worthless and there is no good thing in us, we don't deserve to be happy....I'm sure you know what I am talking about. He did it to me for years before I finally got a clue. He used people that were supposed to love me, such as my dad, mom, siblings, certain extended family members, to drill into my head that I was worthless, would never amount to anything, never have a decent marriage, would be a loser all my life, etc...And for a really long time I believed that. I got into drugs and alcohol, witchcraft, abusive relationships, and so on and so on. I didn't realize at that time that what they were speaking over me were curses. <br />Eventually, I got to the point where I was so miserable and had failed at everything, including with my 6 kids. I was in the gutter as far as one could get. So, I tried the only thing I hadn't tried. My last resort...God. I vented at Him, rant and raved at Him screamed at Him and asked Him why He created me if He was just going to abandon me. It's not like He didn't know what I was thinking already, anyway. What shocked me, was His response. He told me that I was fearfully and wonderfully made with a specific purpose. That I was a diamond in a lump of coal waiting to be set free.&nbsp; A caterpillar waiting to break free of the cocoon and emerge as a beautiful butterfly. Which, of course, was very hard to believe considering the life I had lived. <br />But, I was wrong. And if you are feeling down on yourself and have recently given your life to Christ, you are a new creation. The old has passed away, in God's eyes. And He has made you new. On the inside.<br />Now, it isn't a huge immediate transformation. Remeber, the butterfly and diamond had to go thru alot before they emeged as they did. So do we. It took us a while to get in the messed up condition we were in when we called out to God. So it will take time and patience to get fixed. But if I can do it, anyone can.
